Yeah, any news of Nirvana re-unite sound like a pure joke. Kurt Cobain was Nirvana and the band lives forever but on the records.
Yet two former members of Nirvana, Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic were recently recording in the studio with Butch Vig, “Nevermind” producer.
Most probably they were recording scenes for Grohl’s future documentary flick on the Sound City Studios. Nevermind, Nirvana’s most prominent album, was recorded there.

Pink Floyd, the band that shaped the music of XXth century might be releasing a re-master of their 1979 album “The Wall”, according to Telegraph. The release will contain all the demos that preceded composing and recording of “The Wall”.
“The Wall”, mainly authored by Roger Waters was my favorite album back in mid-school years, the protest age. Later on I switched from this society-obsessed eternal post-war nightmares to albums that had more David Gilmour in them. More universal, more philosophical, calmer side of Pink Floyd.
The good news are, however, that there will be a lot of David Gilmour in this coming seven-disk box set release of “The Wall”. There are a lot of guitar drafts and Gilmour’s demos that got rejected by Waters later on, so we will get the chance of reconstructing another ‘The Wall” album, the one that got released somewhere in a parallel universe and did not cause band disintegration.
In any case, this release is definitely good news. I really hope it won’t be suffering from overcompressed modern sound though.
Here’s a great old-timer, probably one of the best songs from “The Wall”, performed during the mystic and divine “Pulse” concert:
A solo of all solos in the end.

News are flashing that Radiohead have presented two news songs in Miami at the start of their 2012 Radiohead world toor. Never a really big fan of them myslef, but the first track does sound very good, especially the delayed guitar kicking in in the middle. The vocals seem raw though.
Here are the new Radiohead songs:

Previously unknown master tapes of New Order and Joy Division have been discovered in the basement of a restaurant. That’s quite a find for the restaurant owner, Jamie Oliver. The new restaurant-to-be is being built in a former branch of Midland bank, and the excavation of the basement showed a treasury which contained guns, gold and these tapes.
Even if it’s not the way it was it’s a good PR story for the celebrity chef , no doubt about that.
And here’s a New Order classic, especially considering that the band is actively performing now, after 30+ years of action:
In fact I had this song play at my wedding and everyone loved it. A great tune and feeling to it, the synthetic eighties…

Wawaweewa, the decent trend has landed! Adele won six Grammy awards, just mark my words when I wrote before Adele is special.
Cheers folks and never be afraid to stand out of the trend like shee stood out of the sexy-dancer-rnb-diva trend.
